CORC Beginners Mountain Biking Development Program

DESCRIPTION

Cost: $150

Starting: Week starting of 20 February 2017

What: 5 week course on skill development for beginner mountain bikers. Sessions will be 1.5 hours

Session times: Tuesday at 6pm (women) OR Friday at 6pm (men)

Difficulty level: Beginner.
These courses will be great for anyone starting out in Mountain Biking, or has been off the bike for a while. Coaches will group riders by ability at the first session. Courses will then be tailored to those in each group.

Courses will be held concurrently, so participants may be able to move across groups if necessary.
All participants will also be invited to attend a FREE Introduction to Mountain Bike maintenance session during the course.

Where: Mount Stromlo.

Ratio: 1 coach to 5 participants.

Courses will be scheduled over a total of 6 weeks to allow for cancellations due to weather. There will be one make up session at the end of the 5 sessions for participants who missed a week.

Complimentary CORC racing
All participants will be given up to three free entries into local CORC XC races during 2017

Mountain Biking Australia Licence
All participants will need to have a valid MTBA licence. Participants may register for a free 2 month trial membership prior to the course commencing.

Cancellation policy
Participants will be reimbursed the full fee up to 7 days prior to the course. Cancellations within 7 days may receive reimbursement, if possible at the discretion of the organisers.

Please note: This program is supported by the Australian Sports Foundation Grass Roots Grant. Therefore costing and course offerings are slightly to different to previous CORC development programs.
