Dear CORC Members,
2016 was a very successful year for CORC, not only have we had a fantastic year of racing accompanied by an equally successful season for rider development, it has also been a year where we have made significant improvements to the general management and overheads for the club, saving the committee time and resources.
As happens in life, a number of the 2016 committee have indicated that they are unable to nominate for 2017, and we need your help to ensure the success of the previous is continued into 2017. Without awesome volunteers to step up to the plate, a number of the activities that are key to the vibrant mountain biking community we enjoy in the ACT will be severely restricted or may even need to stop!
It doesn’t matter whether you have experience in this sort of role or not, the outgoing members or those who will remain on the committee, will ensure you have all the info you require to take over. Some of our key tasks such as membership or the secretary take very little time, while others such as the cross-country and downhill crew do require a bigger chunk of time to make happen. So whether you have an hour a week or a day a week, we’d love to hear from you! You are most welcome to join us for the Fenruary Committee Meeting at Eastlake FC, KIngston, 7pm, 1 March and have a chat or ask your questions.
The CORC AGM has been scheduled for the evening of Wednesday 1 March from 7pm at Eastlake Football Club, Kingston. At the AGM all Committee positions will be declared vacant and we are seeking a crew of volunteers to ensure the racing, training, development, trail advocacy, and the general progression of mountain biking can continue to grow.
Contacts can be found on the contacts page of the CORC website or you can email [email protected] and I can put you in touch!
Thanks!
