Action in Majura

Sunday was a perfect day for XC MTB racing in the forest – CORC XC #2 @ Majura Pines
102 riders lined up Sunday morning to ride a northern XC course in near perfect conditions. The previous day’s rain turned the dusty trails into ‘hero dirt’!
Majura Pines is never an easy proposition (certainly at race pace) and there were plenty of riders thankful to have just finished. 9 DNF’s, 3 on the first lap.

Thanks to my band of volunteers yesterday who helped make things happen. Volunteers will be rewarded (gift certificates and other goodies) after the next XC race – so put your hand up to help run our club events and you to can enjoy the rewards. I’m keeping track of my helpers to make sure no one is forgotten. I’ll post a separate volunteer information message to FB/Web in due course.
My apologies for being a bit grumpy yesterday with a few people about getting too close the timing mats whilst the system (race) was running. We will look at putting some signage to help people steer clear at future events. The Majura setup for start/finish/timing is a bit of a squeeze so this didn’t help matters.
The next XC race is planned for the western side of SFP – Click here to download the Calendar.
Cheers.
