SUMMARY:Dirt Crits
DESCRIPTION:Dirt crits are kids and novice friendly\, but also offering enough challenge for experienced riders to ping against the rev limiter. We have a handicap format that ensures that everyone has a chance to win\, and everyone has a race at their limit. Kids races start in one block and are not handicapped. Dirt Crits is held on Thursday evenings\, although from previous years we anticipate that some events may be cancelled due to inclement weather\, heat waves\, global pandemics\, or lack of organisers. To calculate overall results\, we count your best roughly 75% of races\, according to the formula in our results sheet (results are available after round 1). \nWe ask that all entries are pre-entered to make it easier for us. If you forget then we can enter you on the day\, if you have AusCycling card and $6 for us. \nFor the Dirt Crit series\, all participants must be AusCycling members. This includes all juniors. AusCycling membership ensures all riders are covered for personal accident and public liability insurance (including when not at Dirt Crits). DESCRIPTION:We’re back at Cotter Pines for the last XC race of the season. We’ changing up the course a bit compared to our race there last year\, keeping the best bits but adding in some more overtaking opportunities. \nThere are 4 rounds planned for 2024\, in addition to the ACT Championships later in the year. These are fun races open to riders of a wide range of abilities. For XC racing some courses will be harder than others\, and to make this clearer to everybody we have a grading system.
