CORC CX Round 2 Event Details – Updated Venue Details

Round 2 of the CORC Series will be returning to “The Farm” in 2017 on Saturday April 22nd.  The venue is on private property 10mins past Mt Stromlo on Cotter Road.  Access will be via the Cottonmouth Scout Camp.  Under no circumstances can the venue be accessed prior to the event.

The updated schedule is below. We are mixing things up with A-Grade running first for a change.

Course Open: 12:00
Rego: 12:30 – 1:30
A-Grade Men – 40min – 1:30pm
Little Crossers – 2:30pm

B-Grade Men and A-Grade Women – 30min – 3:15pm

We recognise both CA and MTBA licences for the event and the cost of entry is $15.  If you don’t hold a licence, if you are eligible please complete a Free 2 Month Membership with MTBA prior to the event. Otherwise Day Licences will be available for $25.

Please pre-register to make the job easier for our event team on the day. It also makes sure your name is spelt correctly and gives you priority seeding on the start line!  Remember to bring along your series number if you chose to hang onto it after the first race.

To continue to encourage women’s participation in cyclocross, experienced local cyclocross rider Claire Aubrey will be hosting a pre-ride open to all registered women from 12:45 sharp.   This will be a great opportunity to ride a lap of the course, practice the more challenging sections and get a few tips.

For riders racing in B-Grade or C-Grade and A-Grade Women any bike is welcome, however for A-Grade Men , in the spirit of CX, the maximum tyre width will now be 35mm.

Further details can be found on the event page.
