ACT Australian team members ready for the UCI World Championships

CORC congratulate the selected ACT Australian team members for the UCI World Championships to be held In Cairns, Australia from 5-10 September 2017

Showcasing Cairns trails in this world class event, the XCO teams will be led by international elites Dan McConnell and Bec Henderson, and joined in the Elite category by Eliza Smyth (Kwan) and Mark Tupalski.  International stage newcomer, Charlie Brodie, will be contesting the tough Junior U19 XCO category. For CORC XCO this is a promising sign as Eliza, Mark and Charlie are all CORC coaches currently coaching the CORC Junior Development squad.  Another CORC Coach, Peter Dowse, will be there in the capacity of Elite/U23 Mechanic/Assistant Manager.

In the Downhill team, Canberra/Rotorua rider Ronja Hill-Wright will compete in Elite Women, alongside NSW/Stromlo regular Sian A’Hern. Jackson Frew is currently reserve for the Elite Men Downhill team after a tough European season.

Congratulations to all Australian UCI World Championship team members and especially those that we see on the Canberra trails. You have worked hard for this selection and we will all be cheering you on either in person on course, or from Canberra.
